Dviejų lietuvaičių įkurtas terapijų centras Droghedoje laukia, kol vėl galės atverti duris

Staiga užklupusi pandemija vienaip ar kitaip palietė didžiąją dalį pasaulio žmonių. Kai kuriems Airijos lietuviams tai neišvengiamai tapo didžiuliu iššūkiu. Galbūt kažkas suskubo krautis lagaminus ir grįžti į gimtinę pas artimuosius, o kiti apsišarvavo neišsenkančia kantrybe. Agnė Gustė ir Jurgita Pakštė – dvi mūsų tautietės, kurios daugiau nei prieš dešimtmetį emigravusios į Airiją ir vos vasario pabaigoje Droghedos mieste atidariusios terapijų centrą SENSORY SPACE, dėl įvesto karantino buvo priverstos laikinai uždaryti duris ir kantriai laukti dienos, kada, kaip jos pačios sako, su dviguba energija ir vėl galės padėti vaikams, jų šeimoms ir tiems, kas ieško psichologinės pagalbos, logopedo paslaugų ar turi kitų specialiųjų poreikių.

Jurgita – psichologė, kognityvinės ir elgesio terapijos specialistė, dailės terapeutė, sertifikuota lektorė, praktikė, konsultantė. Nuolat šioje srityje žinias gilinanti specialistė ne vienerius metus Airijoje dirba su šeimomis, auginančiomis vaikus, turinčius specialiųjų poreikių. Ji patikslina, kad dažnai žmonės, išgirdę “specialieji poreikiai”, susidaro klaidingą įspūdį, jog kalbama apie tuos, kurie turi vienokią ar kitokią negalią.

Kartais jiems tiesiog užtenka nuoširdaus pokalbio, bet dažnai būna ir taip, kad jie teiraujasi, ar mūsų specialistai dirba tik su vaikais ar ir su suaugusiais. Būna ir taip, kad vienoje patalpoje viena specialistė dirba su vaiku, o kitoje patalpoje kita specialistė dirba su vienu iš tėvų.

Tiek Agnė, tiek Jurgita, kurioms yra tekę apsilankyti ne vienoje privačioje ar valstybinėje įstaigoje, sako, kad dar niekur Airijoje nėra matę tokios paslaugos, kad vienu metu būtų dirbama su visais šeimos nariais. Jurgita, kaip specialistė, jau kurį laiką norėjo apsistoti vienoje vietoje, nes keliavimas po įvairias įstaigas taip pat, pasak jos, be galo vargina.
